What to expect as my patient

JD at workWhat’s it like to be my patient? It’s a question I’m sure many patients have in mind before they see me, so let me remove some of the mystery so you know what to expect!

We coordinate a time to meet in person at my office in Port Albertni, BC or online. I am licensed to treat anybody living in BC! Patients can book appointments online on my website or call to book by phone.

Please note that I ask new patients to fill out detailed forms before your first visit—this helps make me aware of your conditions and health history so that we can focus on you at your visit.

I provide directions on how to visit my office or send you a virtual link depending on your visit. It’s helpful if you arrive 10 minutes ahead of time to check in.

Bring your health history as I will ask a lot of questions! My initial intake is 75 minutes, and in that time, I get to know you, both as a person and in terms of your health concern.

I go through a very thorough health history and do physical exams when necessary. I also offer or suggest lab work if it might help to figure out a treatment plan.

Once we’ve gotten to know each other after that first visit, I will offer some thoughts based on my years of training and practice. I develop individualized treatment plans for each patient.

Treatment plans often involving dietary changes and suggested supplements. I may also recommend treatments from acupuncture to intravenous vitamin therapy depending on your individual situation. We work together on a plan that meets your needs and lifestyle and discuss what further visits may benefit your treatment.

So now you know what to expect, feel free to take the first step and book an appointment!
