Happy Naturopathic Medicine Week!
Across Canada, naturopathic doctors are celebrating the profession we love and our dedication to helping patients live their best lives.
For me, the week is both a valuable opportunity to raise awareness about naturopathic medicine, but also reflect on the reasons I got into this work.
I’ve been a practising as a naturopathic doctor in Port Alberni and Tofino since 2007. After earning my Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of Toronto in 1999, I trained for four years at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, graduating in 2006.
Over my years in practice, I’ve developed a specialty in helping women to feel their best. I regularly treat:
- hormonal imbalances
- menstrual problems
- sleep problems
- menopausal problems
- digestive problems
- adrenal and thyroid dysfunction
I am trained in functional medicine testing to address the root cause of patients’ symptoms. I am also trained hormone replacement therapy. I have prescription rights in BC.
Over the years, I have enjoyed developing long-term relationships with my patients. I like seeing them move into better health and find new ways to improve their lives by finding healthy lifestyle changes that work for them.
In celebration of Naturopathic Week, tell a friend about your experience with naturopathic medicine. Or if you’ve never tried it and you want to improve your health or tackle a health issue, contact me to set up a discovery call and see how I can help!
