Keep moving this summer!

Movement graphicSummertime is here and it is time to get moving! When’s the last time you took a walk for fun (not to mention the health benefits)?

Health Canada guidelines recommend that adults 18 to 64 try to get 2.5 hours of exercise a week – fortunately that’s only 30 minutes a day, five days a week.

As a busy single mother, I try to fit in a minimum of 30 minutes a day of activity. Sometimes I have to be creative, to try to fit in my walk during my son’s activities or to walk, bike or go on a hike together with my son! Walking, biking, going to the gym can all be great ways to get moving.
